Computer Desktop
जब कंप्यूटर स्टार्ट (Boot) होकर पूरी तरह लोड हो जाता है, तब जो मुख्य स्क्रीन दिखाई देती है उसे Desktop कहते हैं।
यही वह जगह है जहाँ से हम कंप्यूटर को Operate और Control करते हैं।
Desktop को आप कंप्यूटर का Home Screen भी कह सकते हैं।
Desktop Background / Wallpaper
Desktop की जो पीछे वाली तस्वीर रहती है उसे Desktop Background या Wallpaper कहते हैं।
आप इसे अपनी पसंद की Image से बदल भी सकते हैं।
Desktop की मुख्य विशेषताएँ (Main Features of Desktop)
1. Icons
छोटी-छोटी Pictures जो किसी File, Folder, Program या Shortcut को दर्शाती हैं, उन्हें Icons कहते हैं।
जैसे:

Folder Icons
2. Taskbar
Screen के नीचे (Bottom) दिखाई देने वाली लंबी पट्टी Taskbar कहलाती है।
इसमें शामिल होते हैं:

Start Button

Search Bar

Pinned Apps
-
Open Applications
-
Notification Area
-
Date & Time
3. Cursor
Cursor Screen पर दिखने वाला Pointer होता है, जिसकी मदद से हम क्लिक करते हैं।
यह माउस की मूवमेंट से चलता है।
4. Start Menu
Start Button पर क्लिक करने से Start Menu खुलता है।
इसमें मिलता है:

Settings

Power Options
-
Recent Files
यह Windows का Control Hub है।
5. File Explorer
File Explorer की मदद से हम कंप्यूटर में मौजूद सभी Files और Folders देख सकते हैं।
इसका उपयोग होता है:

File Open

Copy / Paste
-
Delete
-
Folder Create
-
Drives Check
6. Notification Area
Taskbar के दाईं ओर (Right Side) जो Icons दिखाई देते हैं, उसे Notification Area कहते हैं।
इसमें आता है:

Volume Control
-
Network (Wi-Fi)
-
Battery Status
-
Security Notifications
7. Date & Time
Taskbar के Right Side में Date और Time दिखाई देते हैं।
इस पर क्लिक करके Calendar और Clock खुल सकते हैं।
8. Window
जब आप कोई Program या File खोलते हैं, तो वह एक Window में खुलती है।
हर Window में होता है:
